Daniel R. Barrows, PT, BS, CEAS
"They say that people decide to become physical therapists after experiencing life-changing events. For me it was a car accident in 1984;
I was crossing the street when a drunk driver hit me. After extensive physical therapy, I realized that I was fascinated with the human body and how it works,
why it stops working and how to get it moving again... It was then that i switched my major to Physical Therapy.
"I opened Barrows Training and Education Physical Therapy soon after leaving school. Having my own clinic allows me to treat my patients as people, not injuries.
Together with my team, I treat more than our patients' physical ailments... I intentionally treat the whole person. And just knowing that a person can walk out of our office
and be completely rehabilitated is a good thing."

"My mother was a registered nurse, so I was always around medicine and rather intrigued by it. I found that physical therapy really held
my attention in high school, when I was on the track-and-field team. Interestingly, my coach's brother ran a physical therapy clinic where Dan
Barrows worked. This allowed me to see first-hand how physical therapy works from someone who really loves what he does. I thought, 'Wow... You
get to work with people inside of a health club atmosphere,' and knew right then that being in an exercise field, like physical therapy, was my calling.
"As a physical therapist assistant, I love serving and helping people. Just making a difference in their lives is satisfying to me."

"When I was in high school, I injured my low back while wrestling. I was treated and educated by my uncle, who was an athletic
trainer... He encouraged me to look into physical therapy.
"I found that the impact physical therapy made on a wide spectrum of people, medically, to be compelling. I most enjoy empowering people through
education, manual therapy, and exercise."
